I finished off the hutch and was quite pleased with the results.
So I installed it back into the kitchen. Where I think it looks quite lovely.
I also unpacked a few treasures from France that I bought when in Paris on our trip last year. They are just small things and didn't cost much (as I had to carry them around for quite some time). I think they are sweet though. It took me a while to choose (as I had never been in a miniatures store before; there are none near my house), my poor boyfriend Steve was not as excited as I was, but very patient.
There is this cute wee basket.
A little bed for mini Bethell and her friend.
And a little tea set.
I found a home for the tea set and basket in the kitchen.
The cat bed is in the lounge for now but I'm not sure if that is the right spot for it...
Mini Bethell seems to like it though.
After I had finished playing with my treasures I got hard to work and spent a productive several hours putting up weatherboards; a lengthy but satisfying job.
I also put the roof on the bay window which I hadn't yet done.
And that is the progress to date.
Thank you all for your lovely comments. I love reading them!

ReplyDeleteHola! Me hice seguidora de tu blog. Me gusta mucho lo que enseñas, la casa es muy bonita y te queda mucho trabajo por delante, pero seguro que te queda maravillosa. Las compras en Paris son muy bonitas todas.

Love the colour of the hutch - it just looks so pretty!! Wow, you have done massive amounts of work on your house since I last saw it. Great work - it looks spectacular!
ReplyDeleteThe hutch is looking very sweet now and the teaset is perfect on it. The flowers look very effective in the basket too. Don't the weatherboards make such a difference to the house? It is coming along really nicely indeed. Lots of work but worth it for sure.
ReplyDeleteYeah I am so happy with it! :)
ReplyDeleteYour house is coming along nicely and I love the hutch with the tea set. Lovely setting.
